About the event

MBSR was developed boy Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Associates in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society.   This course stems from the ever expanding field of Mind-Body-Medicine, becoming internationally renowned through evidence-based research that highlights its benefit in treating a variety of mental and physical health issues amongst several populations.

What To Expect as a Participant: 

This MBSR Course includes 8 weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each, in addition to a half day retreat.  Program activities include meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. Prior to registering, participants should plan to attend every session and practice mindfulness at least 45 minutes per day throughout the program.
